Information on the use of cookies
This website uses technical cookies and third-party cookies to ensure that procedures work correctly and to improve the experience of using online applications. This document provides information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by the site and how to manage them.

Definitions
Cookies are short text fragments (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after a few days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to the user's preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).

Similar technologies, such as, for example, web beacons, transparent GIFs and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information about user behaviour and the use of services.

In the remainder of this document we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies by simply using the term "cookies".

Types of cookies
Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish different categories:
1 - Technical cookies. Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website; analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies where they are used directly by the website manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of criteria selected in order to improve the service provided to the same. Users' prior consent is not required for the installation of such cookies, while the obligation to provide information pursuant to art. 13 of the Code remains in place, which the site operator, if it only uses such devices, may provide in the manner it deems most appropriate.

2 - Profiling cookies. Profiling cookies are designed to create profiles of the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while surfing the web. Because of the particular invasiveness that such devices may have in the private sphere of users, European and Italian legislation provides that users must be adequately informed of their use and thus express their valid consent. They are referred to in Article 122 of the Code where it provides that "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contracting party or user or access to information already stored is permitted only on condition that the contracting party or user has expressed his or her consent after having been informed in the simplified manner set out in Article 13(3)" (Article 122(1) of the Code). This website does not use profiling cookies.

Third-party cookies
When you visit the website you may receive cookies both from the site you visit ("owners") and from sites managed by other organisations ("third parties"). A notable example is the presence of 'iframes', 'scripts' or 'social plugins' for Facebook, Twitter, Google and LinkedIn. These are parts of the page visited, generated directly by these sites and integrated into the page of the host site. The most common use of social plugins is to share content on social networks.

The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites operated by third parties. The management of information collected by "third parties" is governed by the relevant privacy policy, which you should refer to. In the interests of transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the various privacy policies and cookie management methods are listed below.

Google Analytics
This website also includes certain components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Again, these are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies).

Google Analytics uses "cookies" to collect and analyse anonymously information about website usage behaviour (including the user's IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it in order to compile reports on website activity. This website uses Google's analytics tool to track or collect personally identifiable information. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google or attempt to link an IP address with your identity. Google may also disclose this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.

The user can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on his browser. To disable the action of Google Analytics, please refer to the link below:

Duration of cookies
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until you close your browser or issue any logout command. Other cookies "survive" when the browser is closed and are available on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called persistent and their duration is fixed by the server when they are created. In some cases an expiry date is set, in others the duration is unlimited.

Managing cookies
Users can decide whether or not to accept cookies by using their browser settings.

Attention: the total or partial deactivation of technical cookies may compromise the use of the functions of the site reserved for registered users. On the contrary, the usability of public content is possible even if cookies are completely disabled.
Disabling third-party cookies does not affect navigability in any way.
The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. Moreover, the best browsers allow you to define different settings for 'proprietary' and 'third-party' cookies.

As an example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools-> Options -> Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether or not to accept the different types of cookies and proceed to their removal.
